Located about 100km far from the city of São Paulo, Guarujá is by excellence one of the most important beach villages and summer resorts in the state. Settled on an island and founded in September 1893, it was for a long time inhabited by fishermen. In the 70’s with the roads being made, Guarujá experienced a chaotic boom, with the 90’s territorial arrangement, it was restructured and the beaches recovered the quality that allows this village, the status of highly requested spot for holidays and leisure.
But the coast is not the only attraction. The island also has one of the oldest golf couses in Brazil, inaugurated in December of 1960.
